A. Be able to define the characteristics of the following genres of theatre, know the intent of each of these styles (what they attempt to portray to the world), their structure (do they generally have a happy ending or a sad one), and any major examples found in the textbook that illustrate these genres (King Lear, Oedipus Rex, etc...)
