Activity 1: Domain of Study

Each domain of study is broken down into sub-domains and competencies. Within the Visual and Performing Arts Domain there is one sub-domain and two competencies.

Domain 102 — Interdisciplinary Studies

Subdomain 102.8 — Visual and Performing Arts (IVA4)

Competency 102.8.1: Arts and the Creative Process
The graduate understands basic concepts from the visual and performing arts

Competency 102.8.2: Art History and Appreciation
The graduate explains how the arts are used to explore different cultures and historical periods, and the procedures and criteria for analysis, assessment, and interpretation of works of art and music.
