Activity 4: TASKSTREAM: LCTA Performance Task 12
Now that you have completed Module 13, you are ready to complete LCTA task 12.
CHECKLIST: Before submitting LCTA task 12, check to see if you have completed the following:
1. Have you provided a clear and unique introduction for your presentation?
2. Have you developed four main points in your presentation?
3. Have you demonstrated confidence, credibility and knowledge of your topic in your presentation?
4. Is the presentation well-organized--exploring main topics supported by details and examples?
5. Is your presentation easy to follow?
6. Do you present without constantly reading from your notes?
7. Do you speak clearly and use appropriate gestures?
8. Do you avoid using jargon and choose words that your audience would be familiar with?
9. Are you respecting the audience by carefully presenting information that might be new, confusing or from a different point of view?
10. Have you presented a clear and carefully crafted conclusion?
11. Have you given detailed responses to at least two questions posed by the audience?
12. Have you timed your presentation so that you fit within the time limits given in the guidelines?
13. Have you practiced your presentation to make sure it is within the time limits?
14. Have you procured an adequate video camera that will allow you to be viewed clearly?
15. Have you found at least one member of your audience in advance of your videotaping?
16. Have you used good eye contact, a loud enough voice and the use of emphasis for your main points as you present?
17. Have you compressed your video, uploaded it to TaskStream or to a site like UTube or Snapfish) and attached the link to the video as well as passwords needed to access it?
