Activity 4:  TASKSTREAM: LCTA Performance Task 8

Now that you have completed Modules 10 and 11, you are ready to complete LCTA task 8.

NOTE - Task 8 involves submitting:

  1. A rough draft
  2. Explanation of changes to the rough draft
  3. Your final draft

CHECKLIST: Before submitting LCTA task 8, check to see if you have completed the following:

  1. Does your paper include a title page?
  2. Does your paper have an introduction that includes your thesis statement?
  3. Does the body of your paper have well-organized paragraphs which provide support for your thesis statement?
  4. Do you have APA in-text citations throughout the text?
  5. Does the paper have a conclusion that summarizes the paper's specific points and restates the thesis?
  6. Does the paper have a reference list that is clearly using APA format?
  7. Do you have an adequate number of relevant sources for the development of your paper?
  8. Does the paper flow and is it easy to follow?
  9. Have you checked sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, spacing, and other writing conventions?
  10. Have you provided a draft of your paper with an explanation of what you have changed in the paper?
    • Have you made it clear that you have a draft and an explanation of your revisions?
    • Did you use your outline as a guide for the draft?
    • Did you read your draft out loud to see what needs to change in the draft?
  11. Have you used third person throughout the paper?
