Week 3B7 - Drafta a Research Paper

Activity 7: TASKSTREAM: LAT1 Performance Task 4

Now that you have completed Week 3B you are ready to complete LAT1 Task 4.

CHECKLIST: Before submitting LAT1 Task 4, check to see if you have completed the following:

  1. Have you created and submitted a draft with errors of your research paper (before your changes are made)?
  2. Have you revised your draft with errors for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors in a revised version?
  3. Have you submitted a revision document explaining your revisions and strategies for revision? In other words, have you provided a well-supported explanation of the revisions made to your paper?
  4. Have you created a final version of your paper with no errors or revisions in that copy?
  5. Have you mentioned your thesis statement in your paper and developed your paper from this thesis?
  6. Have you introduced the major points that you will develop for your thesis in your introduction?
  7. Have you discussed the major points of your thesis by elaborating on them with details (in the body of your paper)?
  8. Have you discussed relevant research to support your thesis statement in the research paper?
  9. Have you used at least 10 credible resources in your research paper?
  10. Have you successfully paraphrased all of your research?
  11. Have you used APA style throughout with in-text citations and a reference list? 
  12. Have you decided where you need to expand your paper and develop your ideas in order to meet the page length requirement of the final draft (10-15 pages, including title page and reference list)?
  13. Have you read the paper out loud to see what you are missing and what might strengthen your paper?
  14. Have you had at least one other person read your paper and used the person’s comments to revise?
  15. Have you proofread your paper for all writing conventions?
