Activity 4: Readings and Resources

Please read the chapters and sections mentioned below to prepare for the assessment.

 

  • E-text Readings:
    • SF Writer, Chapter 21c, pp. 233-234 contains a set of tests to use when organizing your paper. Use these suggestions in point 2 to understand if your paper is missing anything. SF Writer also has a step-by-step process for creating an outline on p. 35 and has an excellent sample on p. 37 for this task. And clustering as a visual organizer is shown on pp. 22-23.
  • SF Writer also has a clear example of a full-sentence traditional outline on page 37.

    • Research Navigator has a Research Process tab called “Research Paper Paradigms” which might be a good document to read as you prepare your outline or visual organizer
