Please read the chapters and sections mentioned below to prepare for the assessment.

In Writing: A Guide for College and Beyond, Chapter 20, read about plagiarism on p. 591, then read about direct quotes on p. 592 and then read about paraphrasing on pp. 593 -594. There is also a special section in this chapter about deciding which quotes to use from a source on p. 595. This chapter is very easy to follow and should give you a step-by-step process for paraphrasing.
In SF Writer, Chapter 24, (pp. 257-266) the whole chapter gives you tips on correct paraphrasing techniques and many useful examples.
