Activity 3:  Review and Practice

It is necessary to review some topics and then do the practice problems to get an understanding of the material.  In this section, you will be learning how to write and solve a proportion, and explain your work in an organized, logical manner.

  • Review:  Arithmetic and Algebra Again,  chapters 7 and 9
  • Review:  Schaum’s Elementary Algebra,  chapter 1
  • Review:  Schaum’s Elementary Algebra,  chapter 2
  • Practice:  2.2, 2.3, 2.5, 2.8, 2.14, 2.21, 2.22, 2.26, 2.31, 2.37, 2.38, 2.39
  • Review:  Schaum’s Elementary Algebra,  chapter 5
  • Practice:  5.1, 5.2, 5.5, 5.17, 5.22, 5.27, 5.39
  • Review:  Schaum’s Elementary Algebra,  chapter 6
