Activity 4:  Guiding Questions

Answer the guiding questions in your notebook.

  • Compare the impact on the food chain by eliminating large sections of the rain forest or a single species of carnivore.
  • Draw a diagram showing the conversion of food, all the way to a molecule of ATP.
  • Describe the role of negative feedback in at least two body systems.  Give an example of a positive feedback. Why are there fewer positive feedback loops than negative feedback loops?
