Use the learning resources and websites to answer the review questions.  Include the answers in your notebook.

  • What role do convection currents play in plate tectonics and weather?
  • How do biological insulators (feathers, fat) help retain heat?
  • What are the applications for spontaneous nuclear fission?
  • Why would nuclear fusion be a better way to obtain energy?  What difficulties are there in developing a controlled fusion energy source?
  • Explain the wave-particle duality of light.
  • Describe how nuclear reactors work, and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear energy.
