Now that you have completed Module 9, you are ready to do Task 11 of the MQTA.  Go to www.Taskstream.com to complete this task.

Task 11 Clarification Information

The units are important to include in the ratio as well as the explanation.

Task 11 Checklist

  • Did you include an explanation of the procedure for setting up a proportion problem?
  • Did you write a proportion that correctly represents the problem?
  • Did you correctly solve the proportion written in Part B?
  • Did you explain the reasoning behind setting up the proportion?
  • Did you explain the proportion and the steps necessary for solving the proportion?
  • Did you explain what the answer means in terms of the original problem?

If you encountered difficulty with any of the concepts or practice problems, you should go to the community.  There you will be able to contact the Quantitative Literacy Math (QL Math) Course Mentors through the "Contact a Mentor" button, or e-mail.
