Week 2B4: Delivering a Presentation

Activity 4: TASKSTREAM: LUT1 Performance Task 2

Now that you have completed Week 2B, you are ready to complete LUT1 Task 2.

CHECKLIST: Before submitting LUT1 Task 2, check to see if you have completed the following:

  1. Have you provided a video-recorded presentation that is between 5 and 7 minutes?
  2. Have you used an attention-getting introduction in your presentation?
  3. Have you previewed the main points of your presentation in your introduction?
  4. Have you effectively discussed three main points in your presentation?
  5. Have you provided details for your three main points in the presentation?
  6. Have you provided an effective conclusion to your presentation?
  7. Have you incorporated an effective visual aid(s) in your presentation?
  8. Have you responded to at least three audience questions?
  9. Are you clear and speaking loud enough for your presentation to be effectively recorded?
  10. Did you pace yourself throughout the presentation?
  11. Did you use effective emphasis to enhance your presentation when discussing major points?
  12. Did you use appropriate gestures and body language throughout the presentation?
  13. Did you use appropriate eye contact throughout the presentation?
  14. Did you practice your presentation for timing, remembering that the limit for a presentation is 7 minutes?
  15. Did you plan ahead and procure a video camera to use for your presentation?
  16. Did you ask a friend or family member to listen to your practice presentation?
  17. Did you videotape your presentation with a friend present to handle the mechanical aspects so you are not distracted?
  18. Did you compress your videotape, upload your presentation (to a site like YouTube) or send a link to your presentation (using a website like Snapfish, etc.)?
