Activity 2:  Key Concepts & Skills

In order to teach math, it is important to understand the general structure of mathematical operations.  Algorithms describe the general structures of mathematics.  Review the following:

  • Addition Algorithms
  • Subtraction Algorithms
  • Multiplication Algorithms
  • Division Algorithms

Resources:

  • All students should go to the community and participate in the exercises, and question of the week.
  • Billstein text (Chapter 3)

    • Thinkwell PreAlgebra 2nd Ed. Chapters 1.2, 2.2, and 3.2
