In this module you will be organizing your learning tools to prepare for study in this domain.  Learning tools include: Creating Domain Notebooks, Accessing Learning Resources, and Requesting Assessment Referrals.

Activity 1: Creation of Study Notebook

It is useful to create a Binder or Notebook for the placement of all key documents and information associated with Economics and World Civilizations and History.  This should be divided into two sections corresponding to the Competencies contained in this Domain.  In this, collect Thinkwell Reference sheets, and other material relating to the Additional Resources associated with your e-texts.  In addition, prepare notes summarizing the material you are learning and keeping track of vocabulary and important concepts.  These verbal and visual summaries of the material you are learning will both help you recall the material and prepare you for the assessments.

In your Study Notebook, you might want to place sectional dividers.  Suggested divisions include:

  • Economics and World Civilizations Course of Study
  • Passwords and Usernames applicable to various accounts
  • Vocabulary
  • Assignment Instructions and Grading Rubric
  • Work Submitted
  • Study Notes
  • Thinkwell Notes
