Activity 1: Introduction

Have you ever wondered how the United States we know today was created?  How did the outcome of the Revolutionary War shape the social, political, economic, and environmental characteristics of the United States?  What impact did the Industrial Revolution have on the country in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries?  How did the rapid territorial expansion of the country and important events in the nineteenth century shape our understanding of America as a nation?
