Log on, click on the “History Resources” tab, and then the “Documents” link. Browse the documents for Chapters 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, and select 3-5 from each chapter to read in greater detail. These documents provide first-hand insight into the Founders and the reasons for the American Revolution, as well as the presidents and their contemporaries.
Make sure to go to the WGU e-reserves and read the selection of Chapter 3 (pages 80-93) in Garraty and Carnes' A Short History of the American Nation. Visit the U.S. History, Government and Geography Learning Community and click on the Module 4 discussion thread to participate in a Competence Builder that explores the legacies of major American presidents.
Log on to America Past and Present and select the "Module Quizzes" tab. Click on the link for the Module 4 Quizzes. As you complete the module, set aside 30-45 minutes to take each quiz. Do not use your notes or texts when taking the module quizzes. Once you have started a module quiz, you will need to complete it to have your answers graded. The module quizzes provide feedback about correct and incorrect answers to help you focus your study time.
