- Competence Builder: Examining the proces of Constitutional amendments in greater detail. How is the Constitution amended? For what reasons? Is everything that becomes an amendment a reflection on the rights of the country? Select one of the twenty-seven amendments to the Constitution. Post below the amendment you chose and explain it in your own words. Does it represent a fundamental right? How did the amendment come about? How has it been read by legislators, presidents, or the Supreme Court?
