Activity 3:  Readings

  • Read the following chapters in The Struggle for Democracy. These readings provide the primary source materials of the founding documents of the American federal government. These chapters also include the Amendments to the Constitution, which demonstrate the historical evolution of America’s charter.
    • Appendix: Preamble to the U.S. Constitution (page A-4)
    • Appendix: Articles 1-5 to the U.S. Constitution (pages A-4 to A-8)
    • Appendix: Amendments 1-10 to the U.S. Constitution (pages A-8, 9)
    • Appendix: Amendments 11-27 to the U.S. Constitution (pages A-9 to A-12)
  • Log on to Thinkwell, and read:
