Activity 1: Introduction

College level reading can be demanding.  Comprehending complex text requires an active reader who employs various strategies to aid understanding.  The college level reader is able to determine how a particular reading assignment relates to other information sources, to the reader’s own learning, and to the immediate purpose for reading.
