- Read the directions and rubric for the CST1 Task One in TaskStream.
- Write CST1 Task Two (a 5-7 page essay analyzing two sources).
- To find the strengths and weaknesses in a source, you must identify the elements and apply the standards of thinking. For assistance with this process, see exercise 8.11 on page 171 of your text and the steps under "Criteria for Evaluating an Author's Reasoning" on page 173.
- Proofread your essay for typos, word usage problems, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Before submitting the task, check to see if you have completed the following: (Information taken from the “meets standards” column of the rubric. For more detail, please check the rubric found at the bottom of each task in TaskStream)
1) Have you provided an adequate response?
2) Is the work free of mechanical errors?
3) Have you provided a reasonable description of the types of evidence used?

5) Have you provided a plausible analysis of the fallacies in the two sources?
6) Have you provided a plausible analysis of the underlying assumptions in the two sources?

9) Have you provided in-text citations and references in APA style?
