- Read the directions and rubric for the CST1 Task One in TaskStream.
- Write CST1 Task One (2-3 page essay, which introduces an open-ended problem and its context, multiple viewpoints and different solutions).
- Proofread your essay for typos, word usage problems, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Before submitting the task, check to see if you have completed the following: (Information taken from the “meets standards” column of the rubric. For more detail, please check the rubric found at the bottom of each task in TaskStream.)
1. Have you provided an adequate response?
2. Is the work free of major mechanical errors?
3. Have you provided a reasonable description of the context of the problem or issue to be addressed?
4. Have you provided a reasonable description of two different positions taken on the chosen problem?
5. Have you provided a logical explanation of why the problem has multiple solutions?
6. Have you provided in-text citations and references in APA style?
