Activity 6: TaskStream

TaskStream 211.2.9-02, 05, 08-11 (Bacterial Morphology)

  • Go to the Microbiology program in your program list in TaskStream.
  • Read all directions.
  • Once you have completed the Bacterial Morphology in the previous step, you are ready to upload your lab report at an attachment and to answer the application questions posed. You may type the answers to these questions directly into TaskStream or complete them as a word document and attach.
  • When you complete the first lab in Taskstream, attach the signed safety contract.

 

TASK CHECKLIST

1.       Did you articulate your responses in a clear, organized and understandable manner?

2.       Did you check your work for accuracy of mechanics, i.e., grammar, punctuation and spelling?

3.       Did you appropriately compare the observations from the four activities?

4.       Did you provide a credible and well-supported discussion of the ability to identify specific bacterial morphologies?

5.       Did you provide a credible and well-supported explanation of the difference between direct and indirect staining?

6.       Did you provide a credible and well-supported discussion of whether the smears appeared different in each type of staining?

7.       Did you provide a credible and well-supported explanation of why the smears did or not appear different in each type of staining?

8.       Did you provide a credible and well-supported explanation of the similarities and dissimilarities between the cells in the plaque and those in the yeast smears?

9.       Did you provide a precise description of the size and shape of the types of cells seen in the mouth smear?

10.   Did you accurately cite in-text and outside sources, if used, in the standard APA format?
