Module 1 - Introduction
Activity 1 : : Activity 2 : : Activity 3
In this module you will be introduced to the requirements for the Anatomy and Physiology Domain.
Activity 1: Domain of Study
The Anatomy and Physiology Domain is broken down into two subdomains and thirteen competencies.
Subdomain 703.1: Anatomy – Bodily Systems
Competency 703.1.1 Nervous and Sensory Systems - The graduate evaluates the normal operation of the human nervous and sensory systems based on an understanding of structure, regulation, and function.
Competency 703.1.2 Circulation & Hematology - The graduate evaluates the normal operation of the human circulation and hematological function based on an understanding of structure, regulation, and function.
Competency 703.1.3 Respiratory & Cardiovascular Systems - The graduate evaluates the normal operation of the human respiratory and cardiovascular systems based on an understanding of structure, regulation, and function.
Competency 703.1.4 Muscular, Skeletal, & Integumentary Systems - The graduate evaluates the normal operation of the human muscular, skeletal, and integumentary systems through an understanding of structure, regulation, and function.
Competency 703.1.5 Lymphatic & Endocrine Systems - The graduate evaluates the normal operation of the human lymphatic and endocrine systems through an understanding of structure, regulation, and function.
Competency 703.1.6 Digestive, Hepatic, & Urinary Systems - The graduate evaluates the normal operation of the human digestive, hepatic, and urinary systems through an understanding of structure, regulation, and function.
Competency 703.1.7 Reproductive System - The graduate evaluates the normal operation of the human reproductive system through an understanding of structure, regulation, and function.
Subdomain 703.2: Physiology – Integration of Bodily Systems & Functions
Competency 703.2.1 Support, Protection, & Movement - The graduate analyzes and evaluates the interdependency and integration of systems for protection, and movement of the human body.
Competency 703.2.2 Control & Regulation - The graduate analyzes and evaluates the interdependency and integration of systems for control and regulation of the human body.
Competency 703.2.3 Transportation, Absorption, & Excretion - The graduate analyzes and evaluates the interdependency and integration of systems for transportation, absorption, and excretion within the human body.
Competency 703.2.4 Reproduction - The graduate analyzes and evaluates the interdependency and integration of systems for human reproduction.
Competency 703.2.5 Growth & Maturation - The graduate analyzes the growth and maturation of systems of the human body.
Competency 703.2.6 Anatomical Features and Body Position - The graduate utilizes appropriate terminology and body plan vocabulary to communicate about human anatomical features and body position.
